Peshok is what most people picture when they imagine Darjeeling: unbroken waves of tea bushes pouring down the hillside towards the Teesta river, pluckers moving through the rows, and mountain light shifting across the valley all day. The estate sits along the Peshok road between the 6th Mile junction and Teesta Bazaar — a road so scenic that the drive itself is the destination.

The tea gardens
Peshok's plantations cling to some of the steepest tea-growing slopes in Darjeeling, which is exactly what makes them so photogenic — from the roadside you look down on terrace after terrace of manicured green, with the silver line of the Teesta far below. Stop anywhere along the road; every bend frames a new picture.
Lovers' Meet and the river confluence
Just down the road, the Lovers' Meet viewpoint overlooks the confluence of the two great rivers of the region — the jade-green Teesta and the darker Rangeet, meeting in a dramatic V of forested gorge. It's one of the most famous viewpoints in the hills, and at golden hour one of the most beautiful. The nearby Teesta valley lookouts are quieter alternatives.

Peshok is the closest major sight to Kepchaki Stay — about 20 minutes by car — and pairs naturally with the Lamahatta Eco Park for an easy half-day. Our cab can loop you through Peshok, the confluence viewpoint and the Eco Park and have you back at the homestay for lunch.
